Minicomic!

Here's the cover for my very first mini comic:

I just sent the files off to the printer, here's hoping we're able to work something out.
I could use a win, recovering from a recent breakdown concerning my chosen career path.
Not very confident in my work.

I did an Illustration for a band

There called The Jellyfish Bandits and they are Aaron Whitaker and Melinda Boyce, two comic artists from Portland.
Check out their band blog here, my drawing is for the song "Dinosaur Underwear" Also, check out their individual work here and here

Also, I'm excited to announce, or possibly re-announce that I'm going to be working on at least 2, hopefully 3 mini-comics that should be done sometime over the summer, fingers crossed.

The first is a collection of the "things that are cool" with all new additions and re-done art.
The second is going to be a short 6 page-ish story that I call "reasons why a peanut butter and jelly sandwich is better than my ex-girlfriend." Hopefully that sounds funny to you.

I'll keep updating about things concerning where and when you, the public, can buy and hopefully enjoy them.

Summertime Frosty Treats in the Heart of America

There's a new comic up over at my flickr that was done last semester by Eric Roesner and myself, it's about ice cream. We created it spontaneously as sort of a "jam" which means i drew a panel, then he drew a panel, then i drew a panel, then he drew a panel.. lather rise repeat. Hopefully we'll get a chance to do more of these, this one tuned out pretty great I think, considering we had no idea where it was going.
if you like it check out his weekly webcomic here: http://procrastinationcomic.blogspot.com/
also, continue to check out my work. Please.

Solitary

Colorcomic

I was requested to color in this comic, as well as the story "solitary" to sumbmit to a Columbia zine, more on that when it goes to press.

Also, I did a new story called "Everyone Hates You" for a book called LINEWORK. It's a collection of student comics Ivan Brunetti is putting together for Columbia, more on that when it goes to press also!

I'm getting closer and closer to graduation, so I'm thinking more and more about putting together a portfolio and a real webiste. Hopefully those will come into fruition sooner rather than later. I feel like I've said that before though. It's possible.

An Update.

Okay it's been a while. This is really more of an update on what's going on with a few projects I'm doing rather than a post with a new piece. Anyway, I've got a lot of projects coming up for school that will eventually find their way online. My final project in comics class is going to be an 18x24 one page story about my roommate, so keep an eye out for that.
Also, I was asked to submit 3 strips to 2 publications related to Columbia, one of which is new. So thats exciting, isn't it?
Also there are random illustrations ill be getting around to after school wraps up, some old ideas, some new, and hopefully a new painting project.
Over at the flickr there's an old sketch that I colored featuring Karl Marx and his best friend, as well as an 8 page mini comic based on a series of woodcuts, pardon the nudity.
