Today was a long day. But look, I was able to update. Take that as a sign that things went pretty smoothly.

We're really close to the release of Linework 2, which if I haven't told you, is an anthology of student comics that I helped co-edit along with fellow cartoonists and Columbia students Nick Drnaso and Max Morris. That's the cover up there, designed by Nick Drnaso. Ivan Brunetti served as our faculty advisor throughout the editing process, and we owe him a huge debt of gratitude for starting Linework as an outlet for Columbia students who make comics.
I have a two-page comic in the anthology, and it's a bit different than my previous work, in that it's not wholly autobiographical. I think you'll like it. I'm really honored to have co-edited a group of really amazing artists. Here's a list of the contributors:
Once again, these are some hugely talented people, and I expect to see more really great work coming from them in the future.
Linework 2 will officially debut at MANIFEST (Columbia College's annual end of the year celebration) on May 13th. We're also debuting a re-print of the first issue, which was co-edited by Andy Burkholder, Onsmith, and Madalyn Merkey.
If you'd like to pick up a copy of either or both issues, you can come hang out with Nick, Max, and myself as well as any of the artists who may be in attendance at the "Comics Cart" at Manifest. It's going to be stationed in the parking lot on the corner of Wabash and Balbo on Friday, May 13th from 11am to 7pm. We'll be selling prints and comics by the Linework contributors, too. Get excited to come hang with us!

I realized I haven't taken time to update beyond the usual daily comic, so I figured I'd write a quick hello to everyone out there who's reading. School's wrapping up soon, and this is the traditional busy time of the year, but I'm not feeling too stressed (fingers crossed.) I'm nearly done with almost all of my final projects aside from a few finishing touches - all that's left to do now is show up and turn them in.
We're really close to the release of Linework 2, the anthology of student comics that I helped co-edit. I'll dedicate a post about that as soon as we get the book back from the printer.
As far as summer work goes, I'm going to be trying to print Volumes 4-6 of Our Ever Improving Living Room in time for the Wizard World Comic Convention in August, at which the Linework team (myself, Nick Drnaso, and Max Morris) will have a table where you can hang with us and pick up a copy of both issues of Linework, as well as our own books. I'll make sure to update more about that when it gets closer.
